It’s officially Fall! It definitely doesn’t fe It’s officially Fall! It definitely doesn’t feel like it in Miami, it really never does but that just gives us a reason to explore other states. West Virginia is one of them, fun fact I actually lived here between undergrad and grad school! Here are Things to do in West Virginia (SAVE + SHARE):

1. Enjoy New River Gorge National Park & Preserve, or visit any of the states 35 state parks as West Virginia has 1.5 million acres of parks and public land. We personally walked the Shavers Lake Trail and canoed on the lake.

2. Enjoy some serious adventures! We’re always trying something new and West Virginia offers a lot of options from whitewater rafting, to 1,000+ miles of off-road ATV trails, to rock climbing, caving and mountain biking .

3. Take a train ride on the Cass Scenic Railroad which stops at the Whittaker Camp where those who worked in the lumber and coal industry lived during the work season.

4. Explore Cranberry Glades Botanical Area where you might just get to see some black bears!

5. Walk the Falls of Hills Creak trail to get up close to some gorgeous waterfalls!

This week I’ll be sharing various cities and states you can experience a beautiful Fall getaway. What are some of your favorite places to enjoy autumn?

Still not over our day exploring the waters of For Still not over our day exploring the waters of Fort Pierce. We danced, snorkeled, fished and went tubing. Definitely want more days like this and still pinch myself that this is what a day of work looks like for me sometimes. Thank you @seadoo for the opportunity.
If you know my husband you know water activities a If you know my husband you know water activities are his favorite! Fishing, jet skiing, just being on a boat on the ocean relaxing, name it, he’s there. So we couldn’t be more excited than to not only get the chance to test out the new @seadoo Switch but be the stars of a whole commercial for it. We had entirely too much fun filming this. Of course now he wants to buy one!

Do you like getting out on the water? Favorite activity?

Morning Tea in London! Afternoon or High Tea is us Morning Tea in London! Afternoon or High Tea is usually on everyone’s things to do in London list but since the girls and I don’t eat beef or pork the menus for most places didn’t make sense for us as they are filled with ham sandwiches and other things we don’t eat. I ended up finding Morning Tea at Peggy Porschen instead which offers a tea menu with breakfast items, while not traditional it worked best for us! It cost £35 pp.

There is this myth that travel ends once you expand your family and become a parent. As someone who loved to travel prior to having my daughters I refused to give up my wanderlust ways. If you love to travel too these are some items you should definitely have on your baby registry. Is it possible to be too young to travel? I traveled to Cartagena, Colombia when my daughter was 10 weeks and went as far as Sydney when she was 8 months. If you love to travel too these are some items you should definitely have on your baby registry.

Baby Registry Must Haves For The Traveling Parent

Ergobaby Carrier

For parents on the move an Ergobaby Carrier is essential. A carrier allows you to be hands free while getting through the airport when you have luggage to carrier. It makes maneuvering through crowded streets much easier than with a stroller. Carriers also make nap time a breeze, there is no need to have to take a midday break and return to your hotel for your little one to nap, they will easily and comfortably be able to sleep in their Ergobaby. The 360 is my personal favorite due to being able to back carry which is great for when your little one get a little older but you can’t go wrong with any version of the Ergobaby.

Diaper Backpack

Like most expecting parents, we registered for a diaper bag. While I got a super cute one I quickly learned with our travels a diaper bag wasn’t really convenient.  It’s because it became so much easier once we switched to a diaper backpack. I have the one from Ergobaby and I love how comfortable the straps are. It also has a ton of different compartments to easily organize your babies belongings. In addition it has to thermal compartments to keep your child’s drink either hot or cold. As a bonus it comes with a changing pad.

Phil & Teds Traveller Cot

Whether you are traveling to visit the grandparents or across the world packing light with kids can seem like a major challenge. We originally had a regular pack n play but it was super heavy, bulky, and definitely couldn’t fit in the overhead bin of an airplane. The Phil & Teds Traveller Cot is only 6 lbs!! Yes, 6 lbs, easy to assemble, and it fits in an overhead bin. We’ve taken it all over the world and I know my daughter always had a clean place to sleep and something she was comfortable in.

Evenflo Single Electric Breastpump

Whether you’re traveling without your child for work or pleasure if you’re breastfeeding or exclusively pumping continuing to pump while away from your baby is a must. I couldn’t imagine pumping on a plane with my full size Medela Pump In Style but on a 4+ hour flight not pumping is not an option. For these times you will want the Evenflo Single Electric Pump. It’s battery operated so you don’t have to worry about finding a plug on the plane and it’s not manual so you will save your arms. It’s very easy to put a blanket or jacket over yourself and pump discreetly, even on a plane.

Brica Cover Guard Car Seat Tote

I’m a firm believer in traveling with my own car seat because you never know if a rentals car seat has been in an accident or expired.  Even though I gate check my car seat to minimize the potential for damage, it will still end up at the bottom of the plane which I’m sure never gets cleaned. This is why the Brica Cover Guard Car Seat Tote is a must. It not only protects your car seat from rips and dirt but it makes it easy to get through the airport as you can wear it as a back pack or roll it on it’s wheels.

My Little Seat Travel High Chair

While most restaurants have high chairs you will still find a lot that don’t or theirs are so filthy there isn’t enough Lysol in the world to clean them. That coupled with not wanting to drag your full sized high chair with you when visiting with friends and family My Little Seat is perfect when traveling near of far. It has a 5-point harness making it perfect for babies 6 months and up. It’s also super compact, taking up the same amount of space as a diaper making it perfect for travel.

Brica SmartMove Car Seat Transporter

If you decide to start with a convertible car seat or once your child you will need want the Brica SmartMove Car Seat Transporter. It turns your child’s car seat into a stroller, which is perfect for when you are at the airport. Convertible car seats are heavy and it can be a pain trying to carry one, even if it’s just from the car to the ticket counter.

Fly LegsUp Flight Hammock

Once your child outgrows the bassinet that airlines provide for infants on international flights or if you are flying domestic and the option isn’t available you will want your child to be able to sleep comfortably. You want to get Fly LegsUp which turns your child’s airplane seat into a bed and the more comfortable they are, the more you are which leads to a more pleasant flight.

Munchkin Clear Nose Baby Aspirator

The possibility of having to travel with a child who is a little under the weather is real. There are plenty of nasal aspirators on the market but I love my Munchkin Clear Nose Baby Aspirator as it’s the only one I’ve come across that is so easy to clean and comes with a traveling case that is perfect for traveling with!
