My biggest regret when living in California was not taking advantage of all the beauty the state has to offer. While I did take a road trip to Lake Tahoe, Yosemite and Monterey I moved away before getting to experience more. Thankfully this year I’ve had to opportunity to revisit California multiple times, making up for lost time as a member of the Visit California Digital Influencer Advisory Board. In March my husband and I visited Santa Barbara to celebrate our 6 year wedding anniversary. In May I did a Southern California road trip visiting Huntington Beach, Oceanside and Anza Borrego Park. Now I’m ready to plan my next California road trip and happy to have the help of Visit California’s “50 Amazing Road Trips” guide.

What is the Visit California “50 Amazing Road Trips” Planner?
The “50 Amazing Road Trips” guide is the ultimate California road trip planner. As its name says the guide provides 50 road trips you can take throughout California. In total it covers 14,929 miles of road tripping through California including 634 points of interest, 92 restaurants and 36 state and national parks.
The road trips are first broken down by location, Southern, Central and Northern California routes. This way if you score a flight deal to San Francisco you can easily find road trips that start in that area like the California Majestic Highway 1 road trip. As you can see on the first page of each road trip itinerary the guide gives you initial key details. You know where the road trip starts, how many days it takes, how many miles you’d drive and where it ends.
All the itineraries also come with smart technology. Just scan the smart code you see below to get even information. Scanning the code gives you interactive maps of the itinerary and insider tips on the stops along the way.

If you’re more into themes than location based road trips the guide has got you covered as well. I love the themed road trips based on interests! The themes include Family Learning Adventure, Craft Beer Trail, Theme Park Thrills, Stargazing, Chasing Waterfalls, Tech Tour and more. I’m personally looking forward to taking the Discovering Death Valley road trip.
